In the heart of Nijmegen (The Netherlands) there is a beautiful concert hall, considered one of the very best in the world. Inside this lovely building, the Nijmeegse Stichting voor Kamermuziek / NSvK (‘Nijmegen Foundation of Chamber Music’) organizes an annual chamber music series of eight top-level performances, with a wide variety of repertoire and instrumentation. Dutch musicians (such as Janine Jansen, the Jussen brothers and Liza Ferschtman) and international superstars (among others Krystian Zimerman, the Capuçon brothers, Anne Sophie von Otter and the Emerson String Quartet) drew full houses in the past.
In our 70th season, we are again able to present you with an exceptional program, including among others the Russian pianists Alexander Melnikov and Elisabeth Leonskaja, and the Fauré and Brodsky string quartets. And we have given a composition assignment to young Dutch composer Mathilde Wantenaar, to be premiered at our jubilee concert in March 2020.
The season ticket price is a mere €160 for six performances. Students up to 30 years old pay a reduced price of €80. Season tickets can be ordered online at www.kamermuzieknijmegen.nl/abonnementen, through the Roelants book shops (in the inner city or on the Radboud campus), or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
The price for a single concert ticket in this series is €32,75. For students, there is a last-minute offer of €13,75 at the box office at all concerts. Single concert tickets can be ordered at Concertgebouw De Vereeniging (www.stadsschouwburgendevereeniging.nl) or at the box office.
All concerts take place at the ‘Grote Zaal’ (main hall, 1400 seats) of the concert hall De Vereeniging, Keizer Karelplein 2d, 6511 NC Nijmegen.
